Hmm, I'm considering going to California for my second academic year. QMUL does an exchange programme, for which I am more than qualified, and I think it'll be really exciting. I have a choice of UCLA, Berkeley, San Diego, Irvine, Davis, Riverside, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz, of which I have to choose three to apply to; I was thinking Berkeley ( Read more... )

Having lived out there, gone through the college application process, and attended school there for a bit, I can advise you. What specifically are you most concerned with, though? Quality of academics? Social life?

Academic quality's tantamount, really, so I was thinking of Berkeley...

Yeah, Berkeley seems like the best option, and people keep telling me it'd be "my kind of place", which is rather flattering! So I'll make that my first choice, I think, followed by San Diego and LA.

This is all hypothetical, for the next month at least. I need to wait until I actually get to uni to apply xD
