I remember, about a hundred years ago, when what is now the CNN Center was the original Omni Hotel. There was an Ice Skating rink in the atrium area, and where the bulk of CNN's studios and offices are now was the World of Sid & Marty Krofft. It was an indoor amusement park and you rode that huge escelator up to get to it. It's sort of surreal to go there now remembering what used to be there.

I had heard when I first moved here to Atlanta that something like that was inside the building.

As an afterthought...You know the large area adjacent to the parking garage of Atlanta Station? Yesterday, when I went to the movies with M I realized an entrepreneur should establish a carnival like setup there to draw more people to Atlantic Station. I mean the movies and restaurants are great though as the only attraction makes the whole thing a little boring and doesn't retain as much people to use the shops there. I think such a thing will bring in many more people to increase foot traffic and stuff.
