Okay so in my Japanese class we have to do this thing called "Eavesdropping". To study for it you have a set of "natively spoken" excerpts from conversations to listen to, and then questions to answer. You go in the next day and have a similar quiz, but I won't get into that

All your romanizations are crazy. XD To me, adding a small "yo," "ya," "yu," etc changes the pronunciation and spelling, but you drop the y (in romanization). So we wrote daijoubu, Fuji, etc. ふ was always fu and じ was always ji (because tsu with a " was dzu, if I recall correctly), etc.
Really I think the best standard to learn is what computer programs make you input, so I guess keeping all your y's is a good thing since it forces you to remember to spell correctly. XD
