I'm still reeling from culture shock, and it's my damn culture. When I worked at Wal-Mart, I was living hand to mouth, struggling to pay my bills, buying nothing frivolous. Some of my co-workers were wandering around with high-tech phones and PSPs. I couldn't wrap my mind around it.

Science tells a way better yarn than religion. Quantum mechanics pwns mythology for a good time. Although honestly, I think they both have their place. Science is the reality of the universe, and religion is the reality of human nature.

Maybe the letting go and the creativity are one and the same?

actually i'm wondering if it isn't the other way around?
i'm still kindda confused about the science vs religion thing (in my dream context i mean). They argued something about gunpowder, and the order of the universe according to the religion (which now that i think about it sounds like a highly structured satanist cult), and apparently at the end of the day, the order of the universe was just there. but gunpowder led to people getting killed and people wanting to kill. Then the science guy's girlfriend had to get on her knees and give one of the cultists' a blow job for his garish, pus-filled penis. It was not a healthy penis. While along the other wall, the other cultists were bending the scientists over some pews in preparation for a good ass-raping. All parties seemed fairly used to this. As for me, I was watching it on tv wondering why all this wasn't censored.

6 phrases to describe life.

Just can't get used to it.

Humorously ironic.

Wise to a fault. (Which do you think it is - wise or faulty?)

Chains you down.

Messed up logic.

Doesn't know how to support dreams.

So, when you get stuck on a loop, just think: "That's life", but then remember, that isn't you. You just have to show life who's boss. ;)

I never know what to say when I read your posts. I've always looked up to you and felt you were a far wiser person than myself, so I feel at odds with trying to offer advice or an opinion. Or I guess I could just be intimidated or worried that I've misunderstood everything. >.>

I still think you are a creative genius. I suppose your standard is much higher for yourself and you think it was better at one point, but I still feel that it is there. I have a folder on my computer that is titled "Sharen-Ruien" and it has a few of your works on it. I like to look at them every now and then, especially after I you've updated your lj, which sounds almost voyeuristic. lol

Also, that would be a culture shock for myself as well. I could use that kind of money for some bills.

You're always a genius to me, MY GENIUS. I don't think you'll ever lose that magic touch that makes your posts/stories/photos special. There's that sense of beauty, maybe somewhat achingly beautiful about the way you write. That spark you have is something that maybe I could only dream of having once in a lifetime. It's like playing this game that right now you keep stepping on that "Miss a Turn" space when you roll the dice ( ... )
