What you write and how you write it gives me hope, and reading about how you get through these things in your life continues to be inspiring. I hope I don't come off as creepy stalkerish, but let me be the SECOND squealing fan to surface in 10 years :).

You've always deserved to be happy - it just seems that you need to really think about what you need in order to be so. It appears that a lot of what you've identified come in the form of what you think you should have rather than what you should be. Emotional groundedness, creative success, material comfort... These aren't so much states as they are results.

Every so often I'd be struck with envy and regret when I remember that sarahtales is my age =P
But then again, I've never actually written anything longer than a short story... >_>

*pokes* Tell me when you finally get around to reading TDL so I can re-read it with you.

I want to learn more Japanese even though I'm not really doing anything with it (other than reading random Japanese from food packaging, anime & online manga). I just really like studying ;_;
