Yes, you have heard this right.
It's occured to me that I have too many ideas for Death Note fics, ideas that I don't want to completely sacrifice for the potential good of my current projects. It's also occured to me that I need to grow more as a writer (what writer doesn't?), and that I won't necessarily do that as I am.
So... I'm looking for a writing partner. This could be you, reading, right now. This could be your Death Note loving friend. This could be anyone with an interest in Death Note AND creative writing.
If you're thinking of joining me as a writing partner, then you can...
- Reply to this post, and let me know who you are. Let me know you exist!
- Read any of my current fics (all available on LJ here).
- Volunteer any of your current fics for me to read. Let me know what you're like as a writer!!!
- Talk yourself up. Sell yourself. Let me know what I'm in for if I team up with you, and make it sound good! (Not too much fibbing, if you can, though!)
A few things about myself:
- I have been writing creatively for many years, and have held my membership at Fanfiction.Net for the past five years.
- I predominately write Death Note fanfiction, although I have cultivated a speciality and propensity for crossovers of an obscure nature.
- I have written for a number of genres, but I do have a knack for fics with a psychological tilt.
- My ability to plan and plot fics is getting to be quite impressive. When with me, expect to learn new skills.
- I'm British, and my use of language reflects that (spellings and all). That's less a compliment and more a warning - any Non-Brit hopefuls, you are welcome to apply, but you must feel comfortable with this fact!
- Fun Fact: I am nearly fluent (but definitely skilled) in using the Japanese language. Take advantage of this as much as you like.
The process of finding the best writer to join me may take a while, and will no doubt be some hard graft, but I'm ready, and hopefully you're ready too.
Good luck, and fingers crossed!
