This is an awesome post. I've recently been re-reading Nietzsche myself after having fully read through Berserk and have been spotting obvious connections between Nietzsche's writing and Miura's. Something of interest I noted was one of Nietzsche's madness letters, which he signed as "The Crucified":
"God is on the earth. Don't you see how all the heavens are rejoicing? I have just seized possession of my kingdom, I've thrown the Pope in prison, and I'm having Wilhelm, Bismarck, and Stoecker shot."
Thank you! I apologize for the late response, I had taken an extended break from livejournal and I had a comment on Berserk which I love to rant about. I've been thinking about Berserk as a hobby and comparing it on and off to Existentialism, Christianity, and Buddhism, especially after reading Nietzsche and the Tibetan Book of the Dead. The cosmological structure of Berserk fits Buddhism's amazingly well too.
