"THORNS (CUT ME DEEP)"
Lucy stared at the beautiful flower before her. The rose was perfect, deep red with a velvety texture. It reminded her of home.
Home, where Peter would smile and wink at her as plucked a rose from the garden and tucked it gently behind her ear.
But Peter no longer smiled-his mouth was a bitter line. And the roses back home where white as snow.
Lucy reached out and plucked the rose from the bush.
"Oh!"
The rose fell to the ground as Lucy stared at the drop of blood on her finger.
The roses back home had no thorns.
