I used to keep score on SparkPeople. Any activity counts.

I saw something really cool in this quarter's ATA World that the American Taekwondo Association publishes: nine power foods for athletes. It might help you to plan your meals, if you're interested in details. A lot of them require minimal preparation: 1) beans; 2) oatmeal; 3) blueberries; 4) salmon; 5) cottage cheese; 6) nuts; 7) nutritional yeast; 8) chocolate milk; 9) eggs.

Instant oatmeal counts. So, if it's time and effort on the cooking, about half of the foods on this list can be eaten as snacks with no preparation. Like nuts and blueberries (strawberries also appeared as an alternative under the paragraphs for blueberries). This article doesn't take into account diabetic needs; however, many of the foods on this list jenna3 told me are on her dietary yes list, and she has diabetes for all intents and purposes.
