I have HPV. And I know what you've been through, and I'm so sorry for that. But trust me when I say... the biopsies and such they do for you are much more worth the pain than becoming paralyzed from the neck down or dying from the Guardasil vaccine. There is a story about a happy healthy HPV-free 14 year old girl that is now paralyzed from the neck down because of Guardasil. That is absolutely terrifying and HORRIBLE. Another 15 year old girl just died out of no where in her bathroom 2 weeks after her 2nd Guardasil vaccine (it comes in 3 doses, a certain amt of time apart) and her mother found her. Devastating. I couldn't imagine finding my daughter or one of my friends in a situation like that because of a stupid vaccine, ya know? Guardasil only works against a handful of HPV strains anyways... true they are the more common strains known to cause warts and cancer, but again, it's not 100% effective. Regular pap smears and safe sex is a much better way of keeping yourself healthy, ya know? I personally can't take that risk ( ... )

Also, I wasn't talking about HPV when I said something about it being uncomfortable like chicken pox or the common cold, I was talking about measles, mumps and ruebella. I KNOW cervical cancer is much much much worse than that and I don't wish it upon anyone. I'm sorry.

Oh, and one more thing I should have added to my original post: There are a lot of very convincing studies proving that HPV doesn't cause cervical cancer. It's another profiting scheme -- a dirty blow beneath the belt... a scare tactic, if you will. Carcinogens, mostly, are primary inducers of abnormal cell proliferation rather than HPV or HSV. Since proliferating cells would be more susceptible to infection than resting cells, the viruses would just be indicators rather than causes of abnormal proliferation. So basically, if you have cervical cancer, you have a MUCH higher chance of your cells contracting the HPV or HSV virus, obviously, since they have been weakened, ya know?

Yet another scary thought.
