Movie Review: New World

Some friends and I rented this movie tonight, and since I generally don't have much of an opinion on movies I agreed to watch it (this generally isn't a mistake, but when it came to Elizabethtown, I can sincerely say that I would prefer that someone carve my eyes out of my head with a rusty chain saw than ever ( Read more... )

You didn't enjoy the 8 different rolling in the field moments? Or the complete lack of intellectual stimulation? What's wrong with you?

Well, I did like the line "To go back...to love her...in the wild." So the movie wasn't a total loss. If not entertaining in and of itself, the mockery I will make of it my life will be payment enough.

Wasn't Elizabethtown supposed to be like the PG-13 version of Garden State?

I heard there were a lot of similarities at least.

Yeah it pretty much was. Except the acting was horrible. And the story was lamer. And wow. Just lame. Lamer than a gimp. Lamer than a dog with no legs. Lame-o-roosky.
