Whew. I arrived here in the Maritimes around five-thirty N.S. time. My brother and I surprised the bejeezes out of my mother at the airport because she didn't know he was coming with. Keeping it a secret and not slipping up for three months was tough. We then headed to her place which is really kind of in the middle of nowhere... mind you most of ( Read more... )

Sounds a bit like paradise. I hope you have a kick ass relaxing visit. God knows we could all use one right now. ^_^

.. but if we have to take them one at a time, well, then we will.

*is also glad you're not in Alive 2: The Canadian Disaster!*

Sounds great! Man I have to make it out there someday. The hills call.
So yeah, when you're out and about today, go ahead and steal me a sailboat. Then I'll put your custom Jolly Roger on the mast and the true life can begin!
Have a dudical time and don't let the cops catch you.

Yay for good smelling places. I know how you feel with the odd memories resurfacing - as a child I never lived in any one place long enough to form substantial memory troves, but my grandparents' place was a constant in my life and poleaxes me with strange rememberances whenever I go back...

Take care of you on your trip - sorry that I didn't get to see you before you left. We will have coffee or perhaps pints upon your return, yes?

Indeed yes! Your answer is much less drunken... as I waited until morning to answer you back *grins*. I can't say as much for the other people who responded to this post however.
I send you hugsies.

will smith says you will return in:3 days, sixteen hours, and 1minute. _ack August 26 2004, 16:27:44 UTC
I was going to wait until you arrived B_ack in the clean aired and fresh smelling city that is the Tdot. However upon the mere mention of pints I had to insert myself into the conversation. Pints are good. And you know what is even gooder[yes I know it's not a real word]?
I'll tell you what.
Drinking pints with me.
So we have to arrange that. Unless Aaron will get jealous of his alone time with the Fleck. In such a case we must drink another time then. Seeing as we have yet to drink together. My only chance thus far was ripped away from me when you left the frat party early. For good reasons anyway.
[wink wink]
[nudge nudge]
Know what I mean?
Say no more.

ROFL
Oh I know what you sayin' baby *grins*. I KNOW what you sayin'!!!! Awwww yeah.
Pints with you would rock more then my boat baby.
How the hell does Will Smith know when I'm returning?? Mr. _Ack is telling secrets I see.
You would have been proud of me on Sunday morning babe. I woke up at seven or so and stumbled into my aunt and uncles place where The Uncles and a family friend Blakey were sitting around the kitchen table.
So then we started doing shots of whiskey.
I know there isn't much of a sequay there... but I really don't remember why we decided to start doing shots of whiskey at seven in the morning.
Lauren was just coming into the house (we were sharing a tent out back) for her morning coffee around eleven or so and me and the Uncles were stumbling drunk ROFL.
I crashed around noon or one and slept until five. Then Lauren and I drove to Sydney where the Garrett lives and smoked and crashed there for the night. It was a hellova day.

Oooh. Memories add spice to anything. Or they add something mellow and magical that spreads and sinks into corners and makes everything glow. Like a smell. I think scent's must be very close to memory; not only do they trigger memories, but they act like memories too, pervading a place. Blueberries and mist is a good smell. It reminds me of a poem I can't place right now.
