Urgh. We have a different gas utility, Laclede Gas, but based on the service you're getting from MO Gas Energy, they could be two different divisions of the same company.
Woof and I are so fed up with the gas company, that we are doing just exactly that: replacing our gas appliances with electric ones. The new stove is electric. When the furnace and hot water heater need to be replaced, sometime within the next ten years or so, they will be replaced with electric models.
Not that the electric company is all that much better -- but at least they try to give the appearance of giving a damn.
I know it's already been sent, but I would have specifically requested a refund of the installation fee and a credit toward my first month's service.
If you get a chance to speak to someone on the phone (as I'm sure you will), ask for that specifically. You'll likely get it, and while it doesn't make the situation any better and they should still set up their system such that variants of addresses are found or can be found, well, at least you'll not have paid for an installation that you didn't really get.
