2010 Books Read Poll

The list is sparse this year. School really kicked my butt and I tended towards light reading. I really enjoyed the Percy Jackson books and continued my love affair with Laurie Halse Anderson. Some day I will finish the third WOT book so I can move on. It wasn't this year, though. Also, Mouse Guard: SO CUTE.

Jeepers, a lot of us seem to have endured The Number of the Beast. What did you think of it?

I enjoy it because it's in the same set of stories as Time Enough for Love and To Sail beyond the Sunset. It's not his best work, but I'm always delighted to go to the worlds of the books I know. :)

When I was younger, I enjoyed The Number of the Beast, and re-read it multiple times. There were good moments of humor, and the play with other fictons was fun. As I grew older, however, I found it less and less appealing, and eventually got rid of my copy.

To Sail Beyond the Sunset, however, I regretted ever reading.

I love the book "Troubling a Star," though my copy got lost many years ago after I lent it to a student. I think it's my favourite L'Engle, though "An Acceptable Time" is a close second.

There are SO MANY I want to read on that list. They've been on the back burner forever. I should get cracking.
