Dun, Dun, Dun...
Our sea craze has finally started to really pay off. :)
Drops this round were Ninurta's Sash, Mars's Ring, Minerva's Ring, Bellona's Ring, and Rapheal's Rod... Netting a total of ten AV drops in the LS now.
The process for locking this AV went almost exactly the same as last time, except this round it only took about an hour. Once it was it locked it took another hour to bring him down, and like last time he wasn't much trouble. In addition doing the same as the last kill we noticed that he used 11 out of 15 2hours right before it locked, and it's very possible that it could've used the other 4 out of range while THFs and RNGs were training him to buy time. It also just happened to lock right after it got Astral Flow off as the Wynavs died.
So, in the end... Still uncertain what locks him for sure. It's definitely been narrowed down, but there's no real 100% way to do it yet other than hoping for luck I suppose. There are plenty of other posts around about other linkshells that attempted to or have killed AV that basically give the same results as well.
Regardless, great job everyone and congrats on the items. :)
I had time to take more battle screens this round, so I'll add those in closing to make up for the lack of them in my last update.
First of the two JoL kills.
AV and the three that tanked him for the fight. /cheer
<3 Kraken DRK. Three alternating Kraken+Souleater were primary damage along with a rotation of 14 BLM, 2 SAMs and a MNK. (even more <3 to the WHMs curing us! and <3 to Alaris' songs!)
Right before kill.
At our current rate of farming we should be able to get AV to pop once every two weeks if we keep this rate up. We've been doing sea every weekday for a few hours and get ~1 JoL set a week based on how good our TH has been. AV seems to be a little better than a 50% pop rate from JoL.
Still not much time for a full LJ update atm, I haven't had any free time at all this week outside of the work and other obligations in RL I've been having (can't even log in some days now). So, this'll have to do until whenever the next time is!
