Quick bit of a read, but worth reading!
I have an urge to share a sort of discovery with friends and just people in general, and it wasn't satisfied by simply pointing it out to a few of them in PT chat on FF. Albeit a good hour of vicious hilarity ensued as we (Sylphet/Shadida) shared some of the moments/reactions from the discovery, I just felt I had to share it with more people. Eventually this lead to me posting it on my LS's forums, but then shortly after I realized... Hardly anyone checks the LS site more than once a week. Which, left me feeling the same as before the post.
Then, it dawned on me. I have an LJ that I used to use as a means for doing this. For the past two years or so (keeping in mind it was created in 2004) I've felt as if the only reason I can ever update this LJ is after I've produced some massive novelistic work of FF art worthy of being included in the Bible with over three terabytes of screen shots combined with some attempt at providing my own opinions on information/strategies/etc that are commonly questioned all the while answering as many questions that I was asked before the last post as I can type of an update that can only be described in one phrase using an annoyingly long run on sentence. Like that.
Or at least that's what I apparently do.
While I'm still willing/plan to attempt to put together more updates like the status quo (and hopefully will do the next one before the next FFXI comes out), I'm going to try to escape from the frame of mind that it's all this LJ is for! I spent a good few hours making a fancy user page almost a year ago that navigates to all the useful/interesting/whatever-floats-your-boat information I've posted over the past almost four years, in hope you could sift through the random mumblings to find whatever specific thing you want to know (instead of asking me!). But I suppose up until now I failed to realize I don't post any random mumblings. So now to change it!

Anyway, now that the urge to blab out of my ass incessantly has been relieved... I'll get to the other point of this post.
Right now it's around that magical gap of free time where I always should be completing some major projects/assignments/etc that I really should have finished days/weeks/months ago and haven't even started yet. And, around this time is when I put it off even further until finally giving in at around 2 to 6 AM and getting some work done. So in this frenzy of looking for reasons to not start the work yet, I came across a link in Kimiko's BG profile to their blog:
http://www.1up.com/do/my1Up?publicUserId=5725614 (credit to him/her for the find!)
The original video linked on that page was this (recently changed to another review by the same guy):
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/articles/view/editorials/zeropunctuation/1394-Zero-Punctuation-BioShock The above is a link to a video reviewing the game BioShock. To start, I have never played this game or any other games this person has reviewed. In fact, I haven't played many (if any at all) console games for any platform in years thanks to FF plaguing what little free time I have to play games in the past decade. But, this guy's reviews are just absolutely brilliant. Everyone I've shared it with so far has found it hilarious (but accurate!), and if you can follow every little tidbit of each review I don't see how you can't at least smile.
The guy has around ten or so reviews just like this total, most of which found at this site that recently hired him:
www.escapistmagazine.com There should be links on the front page, just look for "Zero Punctuation." He also has a lot of good stuff on his personal website, which is linked there.
I've watched every single one, often more than once (I lost count for BioShock, although I think Heaven's Sword wins the Emmy). I can't express in words how awesome this guy is. Just have to watch it to find out.
