Awesome compilation of info. I don't know a whole lot about anything but THF WS sets. I guess that's to be expected since my other highest melee jobs are 37 lol! I do remember using O-hat and life belt pre-75 for a long time on Dancing Edge because I felt my accuracy was lacking. I don't use much acc now in my build, but I do go off of maxed DEX in every non-heca slot. Another reason to use Thunder Rings over flame I guess >_>
I don't remember who said it, it may have been Miruka, but I've always followed the logic. Your highest damage will always be triple attacking or double attacking a swing in a multi hit WS, so your main focus should be landing all of those hits. I think I may have over simplified that but yea lol.

And yeah, Miruka always made a big point about that too... And it's especially true for something like Dancing Edge where you're swinging 6 times (7 if /NIN) and often will hit the 8 swing limit with DAs and TAs and the like.
It really sucks to TA or DA and miss that additional swing too, and every bit of accuracy that works against that makes a pretty significant difference.

The funny part is, even knowing all this and all the multi-hit ws'es I've thrown around, I don't think I ever did a multi-hit ws where I landed -all- the swings (at least not that I remember) until this very morning about 3 minutes before reading this. I got a 15-TP Blade: Jin when my normal non-DA TP return is 12. I'm sure I've had them in the past, but this is the first I actually remember. Lots and lots of having 2 extra attacks on things like Raging Rush, Blade: Jin, Rampage and the like...but never remember having 3+.

And yeah, even without knowing any math at all most of it is just pretty basic stuff. I just like using math to help explain and justify some concepts, because otherwise some people just won't believe anything. Which, isn't so much a bad thing nor is it something I'll try to change, but I at least want to offer up my view.
I've had quite a few 2-3 DA WS land all hits, but I think more on pure luck than anything. It happens with no kind of consistency at all, but every so often I'll get a few in a row out of no where.

my school completely blocked ffxi, so i cant play anymore. I gave my account to a person in FoS and he brought Battousai back on Seraph.
