I have a feeling I'm going to hit the LJ limit on post length for this, but there is literally so much to be said and so many details I don't think I can really make it shorter. *OK, I really did run out of space. This will be two updates!

This entire post is going to be about every detail I can come up with in regards to the recent PW attempt by ( Read more... )

That is incredible o.o

If I moved to your server, could I join Beyond the Limit LS?

Before you move anywhere it's best to read about our application process first lol... And the LS as a whole is kind of on a break right now, so it might be best to give it 2-3 weeks. But we have accepted people from other servers.

Paint rulez. "This little blue squiglerz is the optimum kiting range. The christmas tree next to it is just because I like to be myself. :D" lol I felt horrible for you guys ever since this happened. It was the news no one could stop talking about the night/day/night of in seraph. After a super late night of merits someone told me PW might die soon, and BtL had been at it for 16+ hours so far, so I decided to walk over for the last half hour of the fight just to see the true hell you guys went through, as well as seeing the crushed morale when PW just did a massive astral dickover ( ... )

Thrunce probably was castrated by his mom... It was actually pretty funny!

After the event we all posted on the forum about the costs of the fight, including exp lost, gil spent, items used, etc. Thrunce included an ass-beating from his mom in his post lol.

Aw. lol If it'd been a galka I'd be way more inclined to laff, but taru beatings are really reserved for elf puntings. ;3 Speaking of, I just noticed there's only one btl galka!? PW knew what he was doing, there's an injustice 'round these parts. D:

Only have been two Galkas in BtL! Gilgameshdux and Blackice lol.

There used to be one other but that was a long time ago. Gil has since taken a break as well, so it's just blacky holding the ranks now as the token galka.

I looked at this post and the part two post but it makes more sense to post here.
If they really wanted to fix this fight to make it reasonable maybe they should
1) have some sort of save points, like for the floors of nyzul isle, because this is just way too long (especially for people that might not be as quick to kill things initially)
2) have some sort of intermediate rewards. Seriously this is a problem in more and more things...
Plus I really don't think there's any item in the dats that justifies this amount of effort (there's one H2H weapon I know of that is still not all that awesome).

Anyways I feel your pain, SE seems to go after some weird "gambler's hook psychology" where they make you do a huge amount of work without any reward so you feel compelled to keep going so you don't feel like you wasted it, and that just turns into way more wasted time...

We were thinking this... I don't see why each form of PW can't drop something. You're basically killing a version of the monster that is tougher than any other form of it, along with 8 difficult mobs. Killing a form alone should be a feat worthy of receiving some kind of drop.

But no, that would make too much sense. Not a single thing dropped from anything.

I recommend using this link to the post as it avoids issues that page 19 might not be the same page 19 for someone with a different number of posts shown per page, plus it goes directly to your post. http://bluegartrls.com/forum/showthread.php?p=2147927

Stupid question but how do you get a link to specific posts?

I've looked for it before and never figured it out. I have a feeling I'm missing something really, really obvious. :(

Thanks for the heads up though.

It took me a little while to figure it out myself, but if you go to the profile page of the user that made the post you want to link, and have it return all their posts, you'll be able to link directly to the post you wanted after finding it in the list. I don't know if there is an easier way to do it but right now that's the only way I know of.

There used to be an easier way to link directly to posts by clicking a button, but I can't find it anymore since the board change. What you can do instead though, is on each post, there's links to do stuff like: report post, quote, multi quote, quick reply. Each at the end of the link has something like p=2147927, that's the post ID#. Grab that ID# and tag it to the end of "http://bluegartrls.com/forum/showthread.php?p="
