Shareware, not freeware, but looks like the most often recommended -- DVD Audio Extractor And this site appears to have the most complete list of Windows tools for the job.
For the PC, i use either DVD Decrypter or SmartRipper. Both have the ability to de-multiplex any of the video, audio, or other streams from the VOB files of the DVD. They're also good for just copying everything, for later processing by DVDShrink to copy them onto a single-layer DVD-R.
