[ And guess who was reading that note. Denmark, why'd you always caused trouble? Iceland stick the note back in the curtain before uncovered it a little and peeked quietly, looking for the Nation who'd written the note. He...wasn't expecting scars and blood stains, though, so he's going to stare in horror for a few moments before calling out. ]

Svi?

[It takes him a moment before he realizes who it is and calms down. Not that you'd notice.

Out of the four occupants of the apartments, Iceland is the one least likely to show any ...strong reactions. But who knows.] 'celand.

[You might be able to already smell the soup on the fire.] ...Y' hungry?

[ It's called "repression", don't cha know? What is wrong with my English today. Back to the narration. Repression at its best, he stepped in to the room and glanced around. Yeah, he's totally glancing at your blood-stained shirt, too, but pretending like he was staring at some other thing that's there. ]

No, not really.

[ Still looking at the soup, though, and take a seat. Then, straight to the point: ]

What...happened?

[No, dear boy. Norway still has a lot more experience at not showing anything than you. As has Sweden, but that's a different kind <.< ]

D'nmark 's l'ttle now. L'ke b'fore w' became real nat'ons.

[There won't be much time to stare at the blood, as the shirt will be dropped into the pot with the cold water now. There was sop around here somewhere...]

[ Well, guess who failed at mimicking his older brother. Not spectacularly, though. Guess that's the Denmark side in him, cancelling it. ]

And that was his doing?

[ Pointing to the shirt before you dropped it into the pot. ]

[Ah, there's the soap. Now he will start to beat the stain with a stone, that might be a little loud.]

Wh't was?

[ Staring with the, "What the fuck are you doing" look for a few moments before finally remembered that you came from the past. Couldn't stop staring, though. ]

The bloodstains. And scars.

Th' blood 'sn't m'ne.

[Hey, he uses soap! This is a step up from cold water only.]

...'ve been 'n a lot 'f wars. [That isn't really an answer, but the correct answer is a bit hard to find. About half the visible scars were wounds inflicted by Denmark, they've just been fighting that much and long. ...and scars that are important to you stay longer than others.]

Then who is it? Denmark's?

[ Well yeah, but it's still...interesting to Iceland. He gave up staring at you and your clothes-washing hijinks and stared to the marvelous wall instead. His next response came out a bit late. ]

I know.

[ Glancing at the scars for a few moments before looking away again. ]

P'nched 'n artery.

[Because Denmark was stupid and moved. Hadn't he moved, there would be no bloodstains now.

He puts the shirt own for a moment to let his hands warm back up, catches Iceland's stare and looks down at his chest again.] D'nmark has 'n equal amount 'f th'm.

[ Horrified look- or as horrified as Iceland's face can be, anyway. It only lasts a few second, though, before his face returned to its normal, unemotional state. ]

Oh.

[ Denmark is always stupid, moved or not. And that's...the only response you'll get, sorry. A bit embarrassed when you caught him stare and quickly looked away into the wall he stared at before. ]

Haven't met him. Seems like he's already gone when I wake up.

[ Slight pause, and he looked at you again. ]

Do you think he'll cause some trouble?

If you say so.

[ And more wall-staring. ]

Fourteen? Sixteen? Seventeen?

'bout s'x.

[He's tempted to hit those fingers, but ah, you're not his territory yet. Iceland being happily independent is still of too much use, and too little loss, to him to endager that.]
