End of dummies?

I have noticed that Ryan seems to be less bothered about dummies now. He rejects them more often than not when offered and doesn't seem to need them for any naps now, which is good! I have put them all out of sight so I don't get tempted to try and use one, but we still have them for emergencies. But am kind of hoping he has self-weaned from them ( Read more... )

Isaac looks for things he has dropped too. Food sometimes. If he is on your lap and he drops a toy he will launch himself in the direction it went to try and get it.

Washing basket a good idea! I sit Isaac in a corner so he can't fall sideways, and lay cushions round the front so he doesn't donk his face if he does fall. The cushions also stop the toys from being kicked too far away.

Corners are not Ryan-proof, lol - he falls over unless he has support from 3 sides! He is just too wriggly :)

Yay re dummies. Like you we keep them for emergencies - usually falling asleep when totally shattered and when away from home. But its good to lose dummies pre a year.

The washing basket idea is great. It's good because a baby can keep their toys nearby as well. R is always pushing hers out of reach and then she flops onto her tummy to reach them.
