This fic was written for the AiW Fic Exchange. This may end up being one part of a longer story but I wanted to go ahead and get this first part ready for the exchange. :) I own nothing of the Burtonverse, I just play in the sandbox.

I like how Alice shows very realistic fears, especially the passage of time and how she would be employed.
And now...Tarrant is earlier than usual. Nice! Oh, what thoughts this fangirl has! Thank you so much for this and ALL of your wonderful writing! :)

I always wondered how Alice would deal with the issue of Time not following in an orderly manner. I mean, even those of us who practically live in daydreams are still very used to how Time is supposed to work. It figures pretty heavily in the rest of the story that I have in my head...
Is it a bad thing that I totally have no thoughts of sweetness for what I planned next? *evil grin*

Anyway, I'm glad you responded even after this amount of time. It's okay! I understand being busy, big time. :)
Regardless, I can't wait to see what you have planned next. ;)

But what I wanted to say was that I find this a unique format. I enjoyed the change of pace. Did you consider continuing it? I don't mind the unresolved nature of it...I'm just curious.
It is a little angtsy with Alice feeling as if she has misjudged things, but there is also a lightheartedness to it with details such as Alice trying to pin down Time. Of course, it does end on a hopeful note, which is nice as well.

I'm actually seriously considering continuing it as the ending of this bit only seems lighthearted. I had a very interesting surprise in mind for what comes next.
While I'm not big on angsty Alice I thought I'd try something a little different...and she's still really young. It's an angle I'm not used to but worth exploring. :)
