get out of my fandom, you're making my fandom look stupid

Just been browsing round on this thread at the TTLG forums, looking for some juicy Thief tidbits and theories. Despite being a member there for a while, I've only really dipped my toe in a couple of times, but I'd kind of retained the impression that it was a pretty helpful and interesting place ( Read more... )

The great thing about the internet is that you can say whatever mind-bogglingly stupid things you like, minus the risk or being twatted in the head.

The bad thing about the internet is that people say whatever mind-bogglingly stupid things they like, minus the risk of you twatting them round the head :'( So it's swings and roundabouts really. Swings and roundabouts, in the most depressingly mediocre playground ever.

Also, I know! Amazing! I'm trying to find the Thieves guild and failing at the moment XD I'm still stuck on making faces. It's addictive. I even managed to make a pretty orc; now THAT is dedicated.

This game will steal my liiiife.

pretty orc is mucho impressive but dark elves are teh hotzors! i have a pretty one.
i am also in the thieves guild as it is alike in stealth and wickedness to the dark brotherhood! i can tell you where to find it if you wish? or maybe just a criptic clue if you'd prefer...

stu showd me where it was.
he also is working on a device to punch someone in the face over the internet.
when he succeeds we shall rejoice, verily.

You are leading me to yet another game that is going to steeeeeeeal my life; I'm still trying to claim back the years lost to ES-related schenanigans, nowI'm going to get stuck in a rut yet again. Damn my feeble, feeble willpower...

Also; Swings and roundabouts, in the most depressingly mediocre playground ever. made me laugh out loud (lol!) in a veeeery crowded library. Muchos attention has been directed my way by bearded security guards. All. Your. Fault.

Hey! Mah I never liked the witches as much as the watch and the wizards. I'm always a bit suspicious when there appears a book about new characters. I loved Going Postal though, who'd've thunk that post was so exciting. I think the idea of sorting millions of letters appealed to my slightly autistic sensibilities. Anyway. Work is boring. although I do spend about 4 hours on the intrawebs each day... Which is nice. Nigh watch was sweet, very sad - I love Vetinari. Bye

I loved Going Postal, too. I like any of the ones with golems in them - I just find them really interesting. Feet of Clay made me cry in a really lame way. Also, Moist was a great character - I found some pretty good fan art of him here.

Interestingly, people keep screaming for Hugh Laurie to play Vimes if there's ever a live-action Watch film... probably because all the Americans know who he is now he plays a sarcastic Vimesy-type bastard in House.

Also, they are actually making a live action Hogfather, did you know? All reasonably exciting.
