Just got to the bit in Oblivion where you meet Sean Bean's character. I wasn't expecting it and I didn't know who he was voicing, so when I speak to this guy and out pops Sean's heart-stoppingly gravelly voice, I actually froze up and made a sort of gurgly "hnnggghh..." noise in the back of my throat. I don't know... they could at least have made it sound a bit more Tamriellic. I've never heard them use modern names for any characters, nor even minor NPCs that they probably got sick of naming after a while. So why on earth give one, and such a mundane-sounding one, to the main character? Boo, Bethesda.
It's good for a laugh, at least. And I am enjoying the game, so I suppose that's all that counts ^_^

Still haven't bought a pc powerful enough to play Oblivion yet, however. Ah, next student loan, please!
Also, 'twas my 23rd on Tuesday, and I'm attempting to plan some sort of sojourn to the Art of Siam on this Friday. Tom is up for it, I think it'll end up being a group of five or six, maybe more. Anyway, it'd be lovely to have you there, let me know if you can make it and what-not.
