I'M BACK! Classes are over, my internet is finally working at home again (thus the reason for my delay) and I'm back from NYC (another reason for my absence

Finals! OMG. Well, all of them were great except for my Arch of Roman Cities final. I had the hardest time with one of the essay questions. Let's just say I didn't finish the last question and had to write an outline since I was running out of time. I will. There is this great picture of me with a column from the temple of Artemis at Sardis. I swear when I saw it tears came. >_< I'm such a geek but I was soooo excited to see it. It's huge!
PS. I forgot to ask, but I saw your entry about Greek over the summer. Are you taking classes then?

Heh. Yeah, I tend to tear up too with things like that. It's just this feeling of being in the presence of something so great and being able to (as we touched on in our Achilles chat) connect with these gods and heroes on some level. It's very much made of awesome.
My university doesn't offer ancient Greek over the summer, but the professor I'm taking it with teaches Greek online so she let me sign up for all the Greek I needed when it was being offered and gave me incompletes in them, which I'm going to be completing over the summer when I tend to have more time. I had to finish two semesters this summer, and now I'm on my last one. This one is kind of fun because now we're past learning the constructions so it's mostly just submitting translations of the weekly readings.

And I'm totally envious of your trip to the Classical exhibits. And I would definitely love to see the pictures. :)
