Pretty sure the American version won't be as good because of the way American network series are subject to Executive Meddling. Unless the showrunner is particularly dedicated to the original.

Yeah, and the guy who picked it up is the same one who did American Idol which is such an overproduced show that I don't trust him to do the right thing by this concept. He likes the way it was done (short clips released online at the time they were supposedly happening and then compiled into an episode at the end of the week, with the story thus p-laying out in 'real time') and I think tbh that's all he's going to replicate. In which case it's almost certain to be a much less vibrant, much less real, much less relevant show.
