I've hugged you all over the Internet today, but more Hugs here! I really feel sorry for you, and all of New Zealand, for what you're all going to. It WILL get better, it HAS to get better ... and sooner than later is my hope for Christmas.

Thanks. We'll be right. We always are, but it's been very demoralising for people so close to Christmas. I've seen many in tears and despair.

*hugs you back*

Wow, the fact that this could go on for years REALLY stinks. I gave my husband the condensed version of your post (he's off work today), and he sends his love, too.

His first comment upon hearing about the earthquake was , "CRAP! That really sucks!" That about sums it up . . .

*HUGE HUGS for you and your family*

I'm hoping that's them being all worst-case-scenario on us and that we aren't going to get these big shake ups every 6 or so months for years. That would just ... I shudder to think of it, I really do.

Thanks to you and MrWheezy for your support and *hugs* back :)

I'm glad you're all more or less alright and somewhere where things are a bit less intense. Sorry to hear about your house <3

Your point about the insurance companies is rather sobering . . .

Ah it's just stuff and stuff is replaceable. Thankfully it's not the actual house and that my husband has a habit of obsessively cleaning everything after these shakes so he's off there doing that while the kids and I stay here :D

The insurance thing is the biggest headache facing the city and has been for months. This just resets the clock yet again and so the rebuild which was expected to really hit off mid 2012 will be pushed back to who-knows-when. But them's the breaks and something will have to give. They can't have a city ground to a total halt so if it gets to that point something will happen, I guess.

I hate how beholden we can all end up to insurance companies. For me it's mostly health insurance, but a whole city . . .

I always loose track of how far ahead you guys are, but Merry Christmas to you!

Errrr . . . and that was a sincere Merry Christmas, not an ironic commentary on earthquakes and insurance companies :-\

D:

I'm putting it down to the stress you've been under this year. *hug* I'm glad you're all safe and that anything broken is replaceable.

Get well soon!

*hugs back* thank you. I'm sure that does have something to do with the amount of sickness I've had this year. Let's say goodbye to this year, to sickness and to quakes all at once shall we? :D

Merry Christmas to you since it must be morning where you are by now!
