What more can I ask for? (A million bucks, but that's besides the point.)

The million bucks you and me both, this week would be good!

Excellent story, hard to get my haed around in places, but found it a really intriguing story.

Thank you for the kind words! I think the end result was a little more difficult to read than I had imagined it being...but its a little late to change that now.

Found it a little hard to follow with the times jumping back and forth but it was a very interesting plot. I'd like to know more about what the crumpled letter really means and where it came from.

Yeah, like I said in a comment above, I think the story came out a little more difficult than I thought it was going to be. Part of that was my eagerness to pare down the story to a more LJ-Idol friendly size, and in doing so I may have cut out some details that made everything a little more cohesive.

The crumpled letter (hopefully this makes sense) was, essentially, the same one that Clark had intended for Corrine to receive. However, in the even farther future, a group of time-monitoring scientists saw that this letter had the potential to change a lot of events that were supposed to happen. Thus they intercepted the letter before it got to Corrine and edited it so that when she did read it, it wouldn't change anything. Soooooo, with that said, Clark having the letter in his pocket was proof that the time travel experiment worked, but he'll never know that it had been edited by forces greater than him.

Whew. Did that help? Or did I miss the point of your question altogether?

Thank you! You nailed it for me with this explanation. My brain doesn't always add 2 and 2 sometimes. I appreciate your taking the time to spell it out. :)

I can see this quite well. Those pesky timekeepers are such meddlers. Maybe Clark will somehow figure this out on his own, and come to some manner in which to be with Corrine.

I thought of the potential to make this story into something bigger (now, this is assuming I ever had the ambition...we all know the likelihood of that happening...), and yeah - I'd like to think Clark eventually realizes what happened and tries to find a loophole allowing him to actually get his message through to Corrine.
