So wonderful. Just finished rewatching HP7-2 and this fic fit into the characters and the film's tone of loss and redemption.

The line "he feels love and regret course through him, but they're past emotions; he feels because he remembers what it was like, not because he loves her still" killed me--so beautifully heart-wrenching, but absolutely right.

It would make sense that Harry & Hermione would love like this, so naturally, that they would seek out each other in mending themselves after the war that took so much from them.
