I've lost 50 friends in my lifetime because they were in a different band of direct competition. Or they were in the same band as me and left. Art and Gaming are two ways of definitely alienated your friends for stupid reasons.

that's a real shame to hear. but it's precisely what makes the whole thing a pain in the ass. I mean, friendly compeition is good, Welnis and I were in a race to see who could beat The Perfect Drug on Expert Drums first, and I won, but I don't really care. it was for fun.

I still can't believe you lost friends becuase they were in a different band...that just seems juvenile.

Keep in mind we were all young angry kids finding ways to vent our anger at each other using our angry music. A few of my earlier songs from like 2004 even are direct complaints towards certain people :P

I hear you. I have a serious competitive nature with running. As of now, and I'm well aware of it, there's been a particular person who has a much faster pace than I do, can run farther, probably even has better form. I'm always trying to get to his level, and finding myself short-handed everytime. Yet I still can't get over it, and I don't think I will until I eventually 'do' get better...
