i have been waiting for this post.

and *facepalm* if i'd had your phone # i surely would have texted you.

first, go you. i can't believe you made it thru that thing because it has been freaking COLD around here (yeah, i am so in philly). and while i am extremely pleased with my apparent nonchalance regarding said cold, i do feel pretty confident saying that 7ish hours in a best buy parking lot would leave one many reasons to be freakishly cold.

but yes! and you did it with style, my friend. and you got what you came for.

kudos.

Ha, I've been waiting for it too! After I got home at 7:00 AM Friday, I napped until 1:00 PM, had lunch, and then left for work... came home at 12:30 AM this morning, started the post, went to sleep... woke up this morning, worked on the post more, went for a few-hour-long walk (photos forthcoming), and only just this evening finally finished!

My phone number is back in this post - add for future?

It was freaking COLD. It wasn't freezing cold, but 1) it definitely was close to freezing cold, and 2) it sure as hell felt like it, and 3) the wind chill had to be something like 20-25 degrees near the building. I can't recall the last time I shivered like that.

I was truly hardcore... no chair, no blanket... hardcore and stupid!

Thanks. =P

Thanks!

Sarah still hasn't seen it in action (it's supposed to get here Wednesday), but I'm sure she'll be even more appreciative once we fire up a DVD...

The guy I waited in line with as I was waiting to set up delivery was convinced that this was the best deal for a 40" TV, period. I felt like I did a reasonable amount of homework on it. I'm sure there are better TVs, but the price for what I got was beyond compare.

No, not much you can do about the voucher scalpers, especially with police around... =)

They're definitely getting better at this, yes. I was very pleased with the organization of the store, if nothing else. They really seemed as ready as they could be for the throng of people.

Oh wow. That is crazy! But I am so glad you got what you wanted. I was thinking of you though... standing in line in the freezing cold while I was home, in the warmth of my bedroom, ordering a $80 Nintendo Wii. ^_^
