at the library there is this girl reading a cosmo. she must be 12. she's short. not fat but not thin. i remeber reading that spending 3minutes a day looking at a fashion magazine makes 70% of women feel depressed, guilty and shameful.
she's 12.

hey, i absolutely adore cosmo. My dream job is to write for a magazine like cosmo....
Not to say, "you're fat and should be like models" because i don't think they intend for people to take it that way. They just give fashion tips etc, and cosmo i know, includes different body shapes and how to accentuate the best parts of the different body shapes.
love you arwie.

people who work in advertising do best if they advirstise to make you think there's somehting wrong with your body, that way, you'll buy their product so there's no longer somehitng wrong with you.
i've never looked through cosmo or cosmo girl and seen any shape besides skinny... and tall.

it's so sad what these kids are going to grow up thinking about themselves. about they're world. i still dont feel at ease with myself without makeup.

and i hate it.

it pisses me off more that make-up and dieting companies make money from women thinking they are shit...
and people can say what they will about how fashion and models dont influence how they think about themselves. but most of those people think they are fat and wear a lot of make-up...
i figured out why runway models have to look like curvless freaks, the way they walk makes the slightest amount of fat giggle... it's gross.
i hope you can love yourself for who you are w/out make-up one day. i think you are beautiful either way.

*kiss*

its so depressing to look around at all these women who are being told how to think and feel about themselves for what fucking reason? so that they will feel bad enough about themselves to buy these companies' products. fix yourself.

self esteem for profit. what a sick place we live in.
