For almost twenty years, I've been living with my parents but I'm moving out in 7 weeks. Until now, it wouldn't have made any sense, since the university I was attending was in Palma and it would have been a waste of money to rent a flat with friends when it only took me half an hour to get from my house to university.

If you're cooking using a microwave microwave dishes are really helpful. Just the cheap plastic type that you can throw all sorts of stuff into.
If there's no curtains up at all I'd make sure to have something you can cover the windows with until you buy something more permanent. A sheet, newspaper, something. It doesn't look the best but better than people being able to look in, especially at night.
Mostly what I wish someone told me is you will feel weird in your new place at first, but that does change and it will become home.

Sé que hay más cosas en el piso, sólo he puesto las que podría tener que llevar/comprar si no estuvieran.
Al final de tanto llevar trastos de un sitio a otro acabaré con la espalda destrozada, pero da igual porque valdrá la pena.
