Summary: Gary finds something, after Lynne's death.
Notes: Big image behind the cut, or, HOLY CRAP I DID A BANANA.

The page is fragile, brittle and worn. It's an old book, after all; Gary got it in 1971, a gift from his advisor on declaring his major.

A handy gift; it helped win him Lynne. So much so that he gave her this book as a wedding present. It stayed with her in the hospital, and now, he supposes, it is his again.

The pages crinkle as he turns to their sonnet, #29, and stops-- there's a message written there, in her familiar spiky handwriting. Even dying, she thought of him.

He holds the book to his chest and weeps.
