Summary: Drew and his youngest
Notes: Marina informs me that this is our RaTs one year anniversary, so I figured I had to get out of my month slump and post something. Thus, have a pocky. The Sea Salt prompt is a little hard to connect, but it inspired the piece so I’m leaving it. I will catch up on everyone someday soon, I promise!
It is peaceful, those hours before daybreak. Drew is thankful for the peace as he consistently places each foot in front of the other, careful not to disturb his small burden. Although she is their third, there is something special about this little being the older kids are already calling Addy.
He peers at her, the hair which is all the wrong color, the eyes which, if open, would be all wrong too and yet everything about her is right.
Once, their parents had given them a safe haven. Now, it is his turn, and that’s what makes her special.
