Summary: Vanessa's first date with Gina.
"You're very beautiful," Vanessa said, over coffee.
Gina blushed and looked down at her cup. "Thank you," she said, and added, "I always feel so odd saying that. It isn't as if I had anything to do with it."
"Hmm." Vanessa toyed with her spoon absently, sliding it between her fingers. She noted with amusement that Gina's eyes followed her movements. "I'd say that you do. You have a certain... natural beauty, but it wouldn't be half what it is if you didn't take care of yourself. You deserve credit for that."
Gina blushed again. Vanessa wondered how long it would take before she stopped blushing at trivial compliments. "I do that, a little." She tilted her head, watching Vanessa with a surprisingly frank gaze. "You're very beautiful too. Do you work at it?"
The standard answer-- I don't have to-- rose easily to her lips, but it was a first date and Vanessa opted for what Gina wanted to hear. "Yes," she said. "You know the drill. A hundred strokes a night, hours in the bathtub, soaking..." She savoured the words-- Gina blushed again. "You just have to have a routine."
"Yeah." Gina drew little circles on the table, in the condensation her cup had left. Vanessa imagined those long, delicate fingers on her breasts, and suppressed a shiver. "I do it at night. It's calming."
Vanessa smiled, reached over and stroked the back of her hand. "I know," she murmured. "I have my own nighttime routines."
Gina, predictably, blushed.
On second thought, maybe she liked that blush. It implied a certain innocence.
And innocence was so much fun to take.
