Summary: Nate’s being a little too cautious for Sage’s liking.
Notes: This popped into my head and wrote itself in literally about a minute.
Sage knew Nate was just being careful. Didn’t want to startle her or cause her to flashback, but it’d been two months and his over-cautious behavior was driving her nuts. She was damaged, not broken. He was the one that insisted on that definition.
Finally, she snapped, stepped up to him, grabbed his cheeks and pressed her lips against his. They could do this, they just had to be smart, and he was. He returned the kiss happily, careful to rest one hand on her shoulder and the other on her cheek, not trapping her.
The kiss was thoroughly enjoyable.
