Summary: Bran visits his recently-dead friend.
Notes: Been planning this scene for a while, and oh look! FotW is a Cloves prompt. I will get the Limited Edition done, I swear it. *fistshake*
This is week or so after Dusk.
Bran visited the old lady at first chance. His mother scolded him the next morning for “sullenness,” but he got to visit his friend’s new home. Her little patch across the river was small, marked by long-dead daisies. By moonlight, it was easy to think she really was under there, cold and silent, but her body had been burned; Marne had little to pay for a proper grave, but her friend, the wild-haired man, knew a bit of Curse magic to light the pyre.
Nothing tied Bran’s friend to the earth anymore - not even her ashes, long windblown.
