Posting these together because I really want to work on my fanfiction project but I can't while they're sitting there so prettily in my to-post Scrivener folder, taunting me.

Title: Eye of the Storm
Summary: Gwen has to come to terms with Nimue's corruption.
Notes: Holy literalness Batman. Nimue + Achan (Ni-Chan) is my OTP for all the wrong reasons. After
A Web to Catch the Wind and roughly concurrent with
Among the Stars, a Lone Breeze. Are you sensing the theme here in these titles?
Nimue touched the monster, and it enveloped her in a tornado of sensation. She was gone, too far gone. My darling grandchild, the one I watched from the Aether (which did, in fact, exist) long after I should have gone to my rest, was irredeemably insane. Not just insane - malevolent. Her monster, Achan, had gained not only the intelligence but the malice of humanity in the necromanctic vortex that pulled him from the void.
Her monster, now. Her. They were one, and I knew. Nimue was no longer my legacy. She was my enemy - the enemy of all of us.

Title: Icebreaker
Summary: After their date, Tiz wonders whether Orsana is worth the trouble.
Notes: After
All Vast Oceans. Concurrent with
Drip Drip Splash. Moar themes!
Tiz dreamed of her.
It irked him, for some reason. That his first not-nightmare was of her. Her face. Her bitterness. Her unexplainable alarm at the petty cruelty of a waltzing rat.
He had always been alone, but Orsana was something else. Why was it the girl that scoffed at his name (disregarding that he disliked it too) rather than fawning over his prodigal talent the one that intrigued him? She wasn't playing hard to get, either, but it was refreshing.
The problem was, could he reveal his heart? Could he make the leap? Was he doomed to fail?
