The subject of anarchy is just so shady and avoided, especially in high schools and what have you. When most people think of anarchy they think of complete disarray; people being killed on streets, molotov fires, riots, etc. etc. When I think of anarchy I think of how it should have been, what our forefathers wanted it to be. They did, after all, write the Constitution to protect us from government reaching the state of power it has today.
I do strongly believe that there must be a set of rules to maintain (at first, like you say) the anarchists' state of security and what have you. But with that being said, maybe if we lived in said society there would be those that believed in true anarchy, which to many is the complete rejection of political ideals and control (correction noted). So henceforth they would be the 'true anarchists'.
Anarchy is a dream we ought never to see, but we still control our dreams at least.
