one two three
sway, swish, dip
swirling satin, tapping heels
steps oft practiced in dreams
you don’t know
if it’s the wine or that smile
the familiarity or the wonder of it all
but your feet scarcely feel the floor
one - two - three
crescendo and fade
a room filled with hundreds
reduced only to two
the world is naught but music
a place only for
that smile and you
