Shopping for shoes always made me feel better after a stressful day and as I put the three bags of shoes into the trunk of my sports car, my Paris Hilton ringtone signaled me to answer the phone. Glancing at the number, I became serious and as I got to my driver's side door pushed "talk"
"Talk to me, Renaldo."
"The boys and I have come to an agreement, yes? Leave it to us to take care of your little problem, Miss Bodine."
"Sweet. Glad to hear that my money is going to a worthwhile cause."
"Now tell me...what do you want us to do?"
I thought about that; checking my lipstick in the side view mirror.
"I don't want anything too big. Can't have a murder or anything like that."
A silence. "Yes..."
Renaldo seemed confused. "You do everything right?"
"Si."
"Then just do this and I'll pay you. Go to the address I gave you and trash it like you've never trashed before. Hell, steal the stuff if you need to. That will be a perk for you. How's that?"
"That we can definitely do, Miss Bodine."
A thought came to me and I gasped before saying "Hey! I can't stress this enough...Chaison is not to be harmed. If he's there, then forget the whole thing and come back another day."
"All right...but it will cost you more."
"Fine, fine. But if that man is hurt in anyway, you won't get nada, understand? He's...important."
Another silence then a sigh. "I understand, Miss Bodine. Look forward to the next call; I'll be telling you the results."
"Excellent. And Renaldo?"
"Si?"
"Thank you for this."
"Si."
The line went dead and I couldn't help but do a tiny little dance in the street. Finally after all this time, the preparations were complete and I couldn't wait to hear about Phoenix's heart attack at the view of her precious ranch house all torn to shreds. I smiled wide in happiness as I jumped in my vehicle and started the car. All I could think about driving down the street, was the plan over and over and over. It was so sinfully delicious...like a deep dark chocolate.
Chocolate...mmm...that didn't sound too bad right now.
Taking a quick U-turn I sped towards the closest candy store.
