Word Count: 100
Rating: G
Summary: Brad walks. Gail deals.
Notes: Here I go again shoving way more prompts into a pocky than properly belong there. Hope this one works as well as the last.
Is she bitter?
It's raining and the roof of her shitty apartment is leaking. Gail nudges a bucket sideways to catch the water.
Is she angry?
Ivy crawls into a chair leg, and starts to cry. In a week, she'll be a year old. Gail picks her up, rocks her gently.
Is she lost?
Ivy doesn't say 'dada,' because her dada is gone. Without him, Gail can't afford a better apartment. Her daughter will learn to walk here, without a father, pulling herself up on the buckets that catch the leaks.
She's okay with this, actually.
They don't need him.
