Summary: Cliff sort of wishes he wasn't smiling like an idiot, but he really can't help it. Cliff Knight finally speaks to Kristen Morrow.
So Cliff is talking to her.
He's talking and he's working out what happens next. Because now anything could happen. This could be the start of something beautiful and forever. Or he could never see her again.
He smiles anyway, because deep inside he's still eight, and Kristen has the prettiest ribbons, and she's still here.
"If you don't stop smiling at me like that, I'll have no choice but to fall in love," says the vision of dark, dark sparkling eyes and smiling vermilion lips before him, and Cliff thinks it may be the only threat he's wanted fulfilled.
