The apartment consists of one, very small room, and is obviously cheap. The walls are cracked and stained, the floors are wooden boards that creak with every step, and the two measly windows are nailed shut with a brick wall view. You can walk from one end of the place to the other in about seven or eight steps, but it’s kept clean and clutter free. The place has obviously seen better days. Even still, Chloe has made sure that the apartment somehow perfectly reflects its owner.
The walls are covered in posters that reflect her taste in both current and old movies, Broadway shows, and artists or bands. Here and there, an odd painting might hang, ranging from abstract to portraits. Milk cartons are stacked against the walls, holding clothes and shoes, and things like notebooks, sewing supplies, and clothing patterns. The support beams that dissect the middle of the room are covered in belts, ties, and jewelry that hang from the oddly misplaced nail.
Placed in one corner of the room is a clawfoot bathtub that might have been white at some point. It’s covered with a green door that’s covered in graffiti, letting the bathtub double as the occasional table. Sitting on top of it is a sewing machine, and the odd stack of CDs. Along the wall next to the bathtub are a mini fridge with a stereo resting on top of it, a two burner stove, a trash can, and a cabinet that is fit to bursting with canned and boxed food. On top of the cabinet is a microwave, that when opened, can be found holding a lone plate, bowl, and set of cutlery. (All clean, of course.)
On the opposite side of the apartment is a black futon on a wooden frame that’s covered in colorful blankets and pillows. Underneath it are Tupperware containers full of bolts of fabric, along with a few spare pots and pans that have boxes of their own. Hanging next to it on the wall is a full length mirror, with a door next to that, which leads to a very cramped toilet.
