Summary: Kevin and Sidney hang out.
Notes: I like today’s FOTD too much to pass it up. This takes place about a year before the story starts.
Sidney’s feet nimbly skipped over the uneven chalk squares they had drawn on the street in front of the driveway. When she reached the end, she twirled around and smirked at Kevin, flipping one of her braids over her shoulder. “Bet you can’t do it as good as me.”
Kevin languidly unbent from his seat on the curb. “I’ll do it twice as good as you.”
Hopping on one foot was harder than he remembered, and he did not do it as gracefully as his sister had. Sidney’s laugh rang through the air. “You suck, Kevin!”
He grinned. “Yeah, yeah.”
