Danny looked shell-shocked, and extremely wet.
Lars suppressed a snicker and asked, "So how was babysitting?"
"Leah wanted to take her teddy bear in the bathtub with her," Danny said. She sounded shell-shocked, too. "Why does she need a teddy bear in the bathtub?"
"Never question the ways of toddlers." He put an arm around her shoulder, and recoiled when his sleeve soaked through almost immediately. "Jesus Christ, how much did she splash you?"
"That wasn't her. Andy overloaded the dishwasher."
Lars thought this over.
"Ivy was paying you for this, right?" he asked.
"Never again," Danny said, and shuddered.
