I have watched too many tornado chaser TV shows and movies so I too am terrified of them eventhough I have never experienced one.

Echoing the sentiments of others. Glad you're OK. I've been through several hurricanes and a tornado. They can be horrifying.

Thanks. It wasn't as intense as a hurricane but it was consistently 90+km winds for 2 days. I think a tornado would be terrifying just knowing it was heading your way and could turn in any direction at any time.

Parts of Queensland have had really bad cyclones (hurricanes) where whole towns have been de-roofed and houses blown away. We fortunately did not have that strength but we did have it blow for two days straight which probably just weakened everything. You are right ... weather was good.... on my 8th load of washing! lol.
