I will dedicate this subject line to the fact that I forgot to include it twice. ORZ

I was listening to the Zora's Domain song, and now I have the strongest urge to go looking for that oasis-like spot I found (and then lost like the nooblet I am) in Minecraft. >w< I WILL FIND IT AGAIN!

I think I've mentioned before somewhere that the game is 32 million by 32 million squares in size. I also mentioned you could make maps to help you navigate the world, and I might have mentioned the fact that it supposedly takes days ...(in real time) straight of walking in the game to reach the edge of the world map.

However, I don't know if I mentioned a few things. XD; I made a map in the game to help me find my way around. Your character automatically scribes the map as you walk. I figured my oasis like area HAD to be somewhere on that map that I made, because I thought the map was the entire world map. I managed to reach the edge of that map in about 15 minutes. (That doesn't include the time it took to dig the tunnel there. ^^) That doesn't sound like days, right? Haha, exactly.

I asked someone why it took such a short time to reach the edge of the map if the world was supposed to be so epicly huge and they replied saying that the map is just one of many you have to make, because the entire world map could never fit onto one map or else you couldn't see where you are. In fact, you need about (a little over, actually) 36,100 maps to cover the entire world map. ^^;

(Actually, I had kept going forward even though the map stopped being scribed, and this confused me and that was the question I had asked, with the one about the short time it took to get there following it. XD; OTL Still-- I *will* find my oasis! >:3)

Did LJ start a new format for posting entries, by the way? :O On my screen it almost looks like some kind of mobile-version format, and the text is a little screwy... I don't know if it's something new or a glitch. ^^;  Upon editing this though, to insert the subject which I initially forgot to include, the posting format has returned to normal. -._.`
