This sums up my reaction to Rowling's most atrocious crime in HBP.
ETA: I'm definitely sending this to JKR, both by e-mail and by snail mail through her publishers, in the hopes that one of them might reach her. I'm adding the following note, succinctly expressing our views:
To J.K. Rowling,
With the hopes and dreams of a ship that has fiercely defended and consistently uncovered depth in your writing...
Please bring the Hermione Granger we love back.
